From Emerging Entrepreneurs to Future Business Leaders
This corporate video, commissioned by the Brisbane City Council, documented the stories of six global refugees who were awarded business scholarships as part of the Lord Mayor's Multicultural Round Table Business Scholarship program.
Incorporating stills by award-winning photographer Tim Page and introduced by Premier Campbell Newman, this video was screened at the 2007 awards dinner.
The Brisbane Line
The Brisbane Line is a half-hour short HD film set in 1940s Brisbane. Told through the memoirs of a former detective, the dark underbelly of corrupt cops, coverups, prostitution & murder is exposed.
Loosely based on the real-life cold-case of Betty Shanks & influenced by Terry Lewis & the Fitzgerald Inquiry, The Brisbane Line incorporates archival footage and photography as well as dramatised re-enactments.
This film was screened at the Brisbane International Film Festival in 2010.
The People's House - Queensland Parliament House
Commissioned by West Ipswich politician Wayne Wendt MP, The People's House celebrates the history and architecture of the impressive Queensland Parliament House.
Including interviews with then-premier Anna Bligh, Speaker John Mickel and Clerk of the Parliament Neil Laurie, as well as incorporating archival imagery and beautiful cinematography, The People's House was featured on Fairfax Digital media websites, such as The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, The Brisbane Times and The Canberra Times. This film is now sold on DVD in the Gift Shop at Queensland Parliament House.
The Gympie Pyramid
The Gympie Pyramid was a short documentary on the mystery surrounding a terraced step-pyramid on the outskirts of Gympie.
Interviews with local expert Brett Green and Mick Dale and incorporating re-enactments, newspaper articles, animations and photography of artefacts, this film was nominated for Best Short Documentary at the Heart of Gold International Film Festival in 2010.
Last Breath was a short film melodrama about the bond between two sisters in crisis.
Shot in Brisbane, Ipswich and Warwick, Last Breath captured the fear and isolation of a sanatorium in WWII England.
This film won the David Copping Memorial Production Design Award at the Queensland New Filmmakers Awards in 2009.
